Some of these things are more like pot calling the kettle black…
I see Wendy Wright makes an appearance. You may remember her from this wonderful piece.
This is such crap– and very dangerous. I hope this stays on the fringe. It is hard enough to get environmental issues discussed in officialdom without dragging God into it.
In this theology, the earth is there to serve humans living right now– screw everyone else, including generations of humans to follow.
The Green Dragon?
Wow, these guys are good at advertising!

The faster the world ends, the faster the Rapture will occur (this is what they believe). Therefore, helping it along by willfully exploiting the environment to death is not considered a bad thing.
The fact that people who claim they believe God is all-powerful can tell a man that he is ‘interfering’ with God’s plan is highly pathetic. An all-powerful divine being’s plans cannot be affected by what a measly human being does or doesn’t do, or else these people are admitting that their God is actually powerless and completely dependent on human whim to function.
If you can get people to deny evolution, despite the overwhelming evidence of it, and get them to think of Kent Hovind as a qualified scientist and martyr for speaking out against the NWO, you can get people to believe anything.
Just say, if you don’t, the gospel of Jesus Christ won’t be fulfilled.
You have no idea. Read some of the arguments Brett has on his blog with the anti-evolutionists.
I just read the one on the Happy Holidays with Hitler post.
Wow.
…but these people have no logic to their thinking, so expecting logical statements is useless.
The fringe? Too late for that. Those folks are the leaders of the Christian Right, and if they deem it to be doctrine, it will soon be.
I still think it’s on the fringe right now for no other reason than the real religious right leaders– Pat Robertson and Billy Graham and that set– have generally had modest (very, very modest) support for environmental policies.
Robertson was in a commercial about climate change:
yes, it’s always been my belief that G-d created the heavens, the earth and all the creatures on it in 6 days; on the 7th day He rested and on the 8th day He said: “ok humans, have at it: destroy all my creations; I really don’t care”
Yeah, I always saw it as the same as claiming that just because someone is promoted to Manager (given ‘dominion’) over a workplace that it means he can treat the office like garbage and exploit the other people working there. For someone to think in such a way exposes a very ugly personality, in my opinion.
Gee, that’s a good one!
And people in the U. S. are worried about Muslims?!
