Robert Trivers is a Professor of Anthropology and Biological Sciences at Rutgers, who holds a Ph.D. from Harvard, and this is the closest you’ll find to Kent Hovind debating a true, world-class expert in the field. Most won’t waste their time, but I don’t think he’s wasting his time here at all.
Hovind is so full of crap, and his followers are so gullible that they can’t see that this is the big take-down.

A little surprising that this debate seems to only be on the video sites of the Hovind supporters, or did I miss a site? I really enjoyed Trivers comments regarding the Ark story.

There are several videos in which Hovind totally gets taken down, but the opponent is either so nice or so technical about it, that it is hard for the layperson to understand.
The Hovind supporters don’t have a clue. That have decided that he’s speaking the truth, and anyone who attacks him– even if it’s obvious how good Trivers did here– that Hovind wins.
If you pay attention to Hovind talks, he uses the exact same phrases and examples to sell his position every time. The man does know how to sell things, and that’s precisely why he’s been such a problem. He says things that are patently untrue– he’s either lying or he just doesn’t know what he’s talking about (in his case, both are often true)–but the presentation makes you think that he’s dead on.
Someone who could do this politically would be quite dangerous, but there isn’t a politician in the United States right now who could do it.

For evolution, we have tons and tons of different types of evidence that point to it being true. Plus, it’s actually been observed in Italian wall lizards that were dumped on an island off Croatia in the 1970′s and in anoles that were introduced to islands in the Caribbean. We’ve also observed it with a plant that was introduced to the United States about 80 years ago. It can no longer cross-polinate with its ancestor!

Kent Hovind got taken down, really? What debate were you people watching? I understand that it’s only natural to dismiss the oppositions argument, but I didn’t see Dr. Trivers do a whole lot of refutation of Hovind’s arguments. I only seen him attempt to discredit the man by telling people to go to a website. Again, Hovind uses the same arguments in every debate, and I have yet to see anyone who debates him debunk any of the things he presents.
The problem with Hovind is he gives out a litany of nonsense that would take four or five hours to refute.
I think you don’t understand how amazingly bad Hovind did here, and yes, he does get debunked. Only a truly science illiterate person– who has trained their brain not to understand– would say that he won here. He got destroyed. Ass-raped, almost as bad he’s getting in prison right now. His whole Noah’s flood thing– stick a fork in him, he’s done.
