Hunting a beaver with a Labrador retriever in the Northwest Territories:
The channel this video came from is called TheWildNorth.
It’s well worth your time to watch the hunting and trapping videos.
They are really amazing.

LOL no wonder people think we’re all hunters and we all eat beaver and say “aboot.”
There’s lots of beavers around this area. If you look at Quebec on Google Maps, the whole thing is full of lakes and rivers. Perfect habitat.
I never thought about eating them… I wonder how they taste?
In one video, he has “shout outs” to his friends who are doing similar videos.
He says “showed oats” for “shout outs.”
Coastal Virginia has a very similar thing going on with their pronunciation of out. The old Tuckahoe accent has this feature.
The “Merlin” and Delmarva accents overall are similar in some respects. The first time I met someone from Maryland I thought they were from some obscure spot in the British Isles. Our regional accent is known as Norfolk North. Interestingly, having lived in MD for 46 years and change, I had no problem understanding this fellow.
Probably about the same as Muskrat, which here in MD is sold as “Swamp Rabbit.”
