Extreme brachycephaly means that a dog can’t snarl properly, which means it’s back to the primitive coyote gape threat!

Notice the bluish tongue.
My dog’s tongue is that colour because she’s a dilute shar-pei rather than a French bulldog not getting enough oxygen.
I once had an ancient, blind, toothless Pug attempt to bite me. It was like being bitten in slow motion. You know the scene in Spiderman where Flash throws a punch at Peter in the hallway & Peter looks around at the fist coming at him in super slo-mo? It was like that.
Also, the people who made this are morons.
‘People being idiots to their dogs’ is like an entire genre on YouTube, seriously. For some reason lots of people think it’s hilarious when their dog gets pissed about something.
I would think it was hilarious when idiots who antagonize their dogs for kicks get bitten in the face, except the dogs usually end up getting euthanized for it. >8-/
If this dog had a muzzle like a Jack Russell or a Dachshund, you’d be able to see the snarl perfectly and NO ONE would think it was cute.
We’d have found THAT video a damn sight funnier though, you have to admit. Idiot teenager screaming and at least one bite wound because the dog had subtly warned him once and that was just cause in the dog’s eyes.
I feel really sorry for the poor Frenchie. It’s very obvious to anybody fit to own a dog that he’s uncomfortable to the point of being scared and either doesn’t want to bite anybody or knows via experience he can’t land one with his flat face. That snarl gape display is his last resort to keep warning those two idiots involved that he wants to be left in peace rather than be forced into warning them again and again that he feels threatened. But being as they have the brain power of Beavis and Butthead, they keep on pushing the dog, quite literally at one point where he’s basically alpha rolled by the gobshite on the sofa.
Dude, there are plenty of YouTube videos of long-nosed dogs snarling with their owners giggling like morons.
You mean like this? LOL:
What the hell did you say to Willie? He’s a Jack Russell and basically everything is fighting talk where they come from. I don’t think you’ll be picking him up and getting in his face for a YouTube video somehow.
Snappy snarly dogs have been an entertainment staple since before the internet become ubiquitous. America’s Funniest Home Videos ring a bell?
Which is further evidence that my brain is not wired the same way as the rest of the general population. 8-/
Thank goodness there’s at least two of us. How did I end up sat in this handcart and what’s at the bottom of this hill it’s rolling down?
These are the same calibre of idiot that watches their kids get hurt and carry on videoing it why they cry in case it’s worth $250.
pooor dog sounds like a tasmanian devil.
Disturbing. Not only the fact that the people find it hilarious to antagonize the dog, but the fact the dog actually has no nose holes; not even slits. =/
