What a great optical illusion of being a different kind of bird that’s facing forward when viewed from the back. They must have almost 360 degree field of vision.
“- – - that spring is on the way” ?! -lol-
Tell ya wad. Spring’s been here in FIN for weeks now. Yes we still have 75 cm snow and very low temp, but spring doesn’t mean you could be wearing sandals. We both have four seasons, with the cold winter, eh ?
And because of that, we hardly don’t get instant heat waves, rather it always takes some time for the ice to melt, depending on those bigger climatological systems, etc.
This is early spring. SPRING, say it loud like birds do now. Get grazy, but don’t you tell me you’re so anxious for the spring to come. Rather say you wait for the flowers. Or the fresh vegetables, your C.
Sorry, but you sound like a Finnish.
I’m in England and I’m freezing my tits off! Spring keeps poking it’s head out then going back to bed again as winter spreads it’s dank fingers out again. It was snowing this morning – I couldn’t believe it!
Don’t you love it, brit ? We Finnish know that “spring comes, swinging back’n forward”. Use that if you want.
BTW, I saw a brand new documentary about the the North-Western Passage, and in there, that Russians specialists claimed the climate getting now colder. I likely tend to believe them (in this peculiar question).
Tell that to the folks who’ve been recording temps in the Antarctic–its warmed up by 4 degress F.
They know it, like we do. Still, we may have an ice age a-head. Thing is, no one knows what’s to come. There are at least those two models to descripe and predict the climate of the future.
I don’t know why I’m surprised, but moaning about the weather is the British national pastime – he-he! “Ne’r cast a clout till May is out” is one of our old sayings. Some say it’s about planting potatoes, but others say it’s about not being too hasty to put your winter clothes away. Good job I didn’t as today the sun is shining, but the icy wind is cutting. My face was numb when I got back in with the dogs.
Is that the same study that says it’s possibly linked to the melting arctic sea ice? We’ve certainly had a run of uncharacteristically snowy winters in the UK over the last few years. My Tibetan Mastiff if appreciating it if nobody else is.
