I don’t like “rules.” Personally, I think exceptions to rules can rule.

But I think these are good “rules of thumb.”

I’ve met a number of Gaylan dogs. FWIW (which isn’t much–I’m a relative newbie), I think her program is nicely balanced between the various performance venues and great companionship, and she strives for dogs that are conformationally sound and correct.

Good dogs. She’s certainly doing something very right.

Pat Hastings? What is her breeding record? Does anyone know? Her rule of 7s is something taken from about 50 years back. But I still would like to know Pat Hastings breeding (not handling) record.

And when Pat Hastings says a puppy has show potential, what exactly does that mean?
