Siberia doesn’t have trees like this I’m thinking….the farther north you go…the smaller the trees…….Luv to see how Pavel is doing!
Siberia is vast. Not all of it looks like the frozen wasteland of Alaskan interior. It is like creating a stereotype of the Canadian wilderness based on what people see in British Columbia while ignoring the diversity of terrain which also extend to Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut; and northern Ontario, Quebec and Labrador. Canada is not uniform, and nor is Siberia.

The most intriguing ecosystem I am aware of is in the Maritime Far East, there is a place where the boreal meets the temperate rainforest where the Amur Tiger resides.

Here in the chiltern hills of southern England at this time the deciduous trees are still in full green leaf, yet we are on or about the 52nd parallel, the Canadian border being partly on the 49th, ie to the south of us. Strange old world..!
Young pavel seems deeply interested in his surroundings. How long before there will be snow under his paws?
The leaves here have started to change. They will be at peak in about three weeks. I’m around the 39th parallel, same as the Iberian Peninsula.
