The other dog looks like a Kai Ken
There’s only one brindled breed in Japan: Kai Ken.
Are the bells to keep them from actually killing anything?
I think they are using the bells like on a gun dog, so you know where it is when it goes out of sight.
I think the Nihon Kens and Laikas have a tendency to roam, so the bells are there so the owner knows where to find them.
