Amazingly, there are videos of the demonstrations associated with the West Virginia Textbook War on Youtube.
A West Virginia creationist has decided to upload these onto his channel. I question the wisdom of him doing so, because it makes the fundies look crazier than a bunch of shithouse rats.

That was Nixon’s number one enemy, and all the Nixon supporters knew it. This was in 1974, right in the middle of all the Watergate stuff. So conservative people were all worried that the liberal media was out to get dear Richard.
Yeah, worried enough that they bought up as many media outlets as they could. And out of this unholy alliance was born our modern media aka PopNews. (Wally Cronkite must be spinning in his grave.)
I found it interesting that not only did he whine about not getting proper media coverage, but he kept inflating the number of people involved in their little boycott. It’s no different today with the right wing.

That’s exactly how they operate. They’ve been at it for forty years or more.
Amazing that they’ve been able to get away with it.
