If you inbreed, you’re playing with fire.
If you are breeding merle to merle, which is what dapple or “tiger” dachshunds are, this is what you can produce.
If you want dogs to have a high risk of producing dogs that are blind or deaf or both and have a heighten chance of being homozyogous for some deleterious recessive, then go ahead and breed them!
The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me.

No dummy, it ain’t.
I had a long time Saluki breeder tell me, quite seriously, that dogs are not susceptible to problems with inbreeding depression like humans and mice, because dogs have more chromosomes.
The worst thing is that I’m seeing merle in breeds that have NEVER had merle in them, like “colored” Boston terriers and Olde Boston Bulldogges and Chihuahuas. Why anyone would want to introduce merle into a breed that doesn’t have it is beyond me.
Merle has stayed out of gun dogs. It exists only in English and American cockers, and the American breed was already an monstrosity of fluff that no one used it much for anything already.

When I read things like this, I always hear Bill Hicks’ voice in the back of my mind “Have you met my wife and sister…”
The “breeder” who posted the video did clarify that they were not a responsible breeder, but rather a curious breeder.
A simple google search of double dapple dachshunds would show you what you’d risk creating.
I suspect the only thing they googled was how much the puppies can be sold for.
