  Floppy flews were not an original ‘breed feature’. They had nicer heads back then, imo.

Great pic, Scottie. I’ll pass it on to the sulky group. BTW, a Cindy Scarpa and her Great Dane Gus hold the unofficial record for fastest speed pulling a dog sulky, clocked at 38 mph by police radar!

Anyone know how long Danes lived back then? Modern Danes don’t seem to make it past 10 at best!

To be precise, three dogs is a couple-and-a-half. (Foxhounds are counted by couples — 10 couple of hounds is 20 individuals). These three Danes are harnessed in what horse people would call a tandem hitch. Sled dog folks have other variations and terms.
