Timmy was a nice little dog. I spent many, many hours walking him on the beach between Atlantic Beach, North Carolina and Fort Macon.
Maddie was his mate. Both very nice dogs. Maddie and Timmy had several litters together.

Thank you so much for sharing some of Maddie’s history. I am glad that technology has allowed us to take so many photos – I have more photos now of my young dog than I ever had of all my dogs put together in 30 years. And videos! So wonderful. When I am old and sitting on that future front porch in my gray hazy days, I hope there is a device that will let me view these photos and videos. They will be all that are left to me, that and Zoey’s first toy, which I will keep forever (no longer of use to her, as she’s torn it irreparably).
I can feel the grief in your words, I’m so sorry there’s nothing anyone can say but time will help and in time there will be others they will become family and they will help the most.
We never get over the loss of a loving pet, we just learn to live without them.
I lost my best friend Winston many years ago and it still hurts, but now I have my 1year old Flattie called Syd who has already made a very big impact on my life. Maybe it’s about time we had some fun pictures of puppies and young dogs to brighten the day.
