She is very pretty dog! …and she doesn’t have hair groomed into her eyes like so many of the terriers in the Westminster dog show! What’s up with that? Also, what is all this fur flowing from dogs undersides and where did that Cocker Spaniel profile come from? Really, these dogs are bred, they don’t choose their mates…

    The progression that website shows is well done. There still are a few who breed field Cocker Spaniels but they are few in number. The Cocker and the Clumber… both very sad cases. I think that Clumber Spaniels should leave the sporting group heading. American show Cockers look like they came from some other planet. I love Golden Retrievers and I worry about the flash that sells in the breed ring but I know there are a number of breeders who are trying really hard to breed working, healthy dogs. I haven’t seen any responsible Clumber breeders. Maybe the Cocker Spaniel could be brought back. It used to be such a great dog. This breed ring hair styling flash needs to go away… Pet owners would rather not have to fuss with all that hair too. These breeders are shooting themselves in the foot, and Toto too.
