Feral pig hunting in New Zealand with dogs!

Pigs are a major ecological hazard in New Zealand. Well, they are also a major ecological hazard in the US, but that hasn’t stopped some states (like mine) from introducing European wild boars and promoting them as a big game animal.
I’m assuming that the term “bailing” means the same thing as “baying” in North American parlance.
Hunting pigs in this fashion is one of the last remaining ways to use dogs for big game. It is probably this large game that our ancestors used the first dogs to go after.
Don’t ask me what breeds are being used in this work, because lots of different breeds are used. This is very much performance breeding in its strictest sense.

And who would’ve guessed it? The animal rights lunatics are against controlling the numbers of feral pigs. I guess they won’t be happy until New Zealand looks exactly like Europe. (To get the anti-hunting sentiments, check out the video on youtube.)
