For those of you who don’t know, the Heene family are something else.
Yes, I went to Pravda for analysis. This is theater of the absurd stuff.
All the news networks covered it. Hour after hour of analysis.
But not everyone appreciated the focus on this story on the 24 hour news networks:
After all, we all know that she wanted to talk about Afghanistan. She had just written a rather provocative piece on why the vice president should resign over Afghanistan.
But she doesn’t have much room to talk. Her own news website had nothing but continuous updates on the balloon boy as it was happening.
I love how our national discourse has become nothing but absolute piffle.
But it does get me thinking–maybe I need my own theme song.
Update: Does anyone notice how similar Richard Heene is to Uncle Rico?
Don’t get me started on this story. I live in Colorado. It was, is, and will be on the news, everywhere, for a LONG time.
Something about the altitude draws these kinds of weirdos here… I mean, this case, the Kobe case, the Oklahoma City Bombers case, Columbine, The Jean Bennet case, the next 9-11 wannabe case. Several of the wackos who made half-assed attempts to attack the last few Presidents (crashing their plane, firing bullets, etc.) were also from Colorado.
I don’t watch local news, and this is the reason.
