       The absolute shame. Four creationist school board members set our public perception back about a century or so. ID was never acually taught. They were voted out the next term.

       The sad thing is those people aren’t even the craziest people here. We have the Phelps Clan lunatics.

       It would be best for all involved if the western half of the state was returned to tallgrass prarie and had bison reintroduced.

     I have no idea, but I do know that he’s worked with the researcher who found out about the black wolves getting their gene from dogs.

   Well, I hate to say I totally disagree with that black wolf genetic theory, because it is interesting, and if true, is fascinating! I just am doubtful at this stage, and reserving judgement until more research is done–it just sounds squirrely to me, and veers too far from common sense, something many scientist types are woefully lacking in(in my experience with them critters).

     What do you think of the idea that today’s wolves are long-time feral dogs? That dire wolves and their ilk evolved into dogs, then the old ‘wolves’ died out, and that later, some dogs went feral, reverting to today’s wolves?

     The ins and outs of evolution could explain some questions in time-lines, I think.
