Gawd, he’s one of the people I can’t stand to watch on TV without yelling at the screen. His conspiracy theories are pretty hilarious, though, until you realize how many people believe them.
Why do people watch and listen to such drivel. Really why??? It makes my brain hurt to hear this. Evolution is a fact just like the world being round. We may not understand how the divine works in our lives, but to blindly proced backwards does not help anyone. Its like that woman in the videos you posted being interviewed by Richard Dawkins, hers is a loving God who created her to be stupid and have drivel come out of her mouth.
Unfortunately no one ever asks him for proof of ‘where is proof for Adam? Or Eve?” the issue of “piltdown man” is dragged out for every “anti evolutionary” — strange that one never hears them acknowldege the variations & contradictions from “Biblical truth” in the Dead Sea Scrolls, “lost” gospels or even within the “approved” sections of the bible.
There is as much evidence for “Adam & Eve” as there is that the first beings came from the armpit of Ymir. (http://www.norse-mythology.com/Creation_Story.html). Actually, the idea that the universe was formed from fire & ice isn’t as inaccurate.
Peggy Richter.
Well, there is evidence for a genetic Adam and Eve, but then again you have to believe in evolution to believe in them ;)
The problem is when you bring up THEIR lack of evidence they get really really defensive, and ask why you are being so angry and blind to the truth.
Dear Glenn Beck,
You should not talk mean about your monkeymen ancestors. They pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and now their descendent has a mad cult of tv-watching devotees!
What aggravates me the most about these guys is that they argue against things they have obviously not actually studied very closely. IF they actually read even very basic information regarding human evolution theory, they would quickly discover there are all manner of “links” from apelike ancestors to modern humans–even various branches that came and went without developing into humans. These guys do not even distinguish between monkeys and apes either, which just verifies their ignorance on the subject. And the “world is round” being accepted easily because it is an obvious truth? The guys that first proposed that theory were nearly executed by the Christian church, and had to publically retract their statements to keep from being burned as witches! If you are going to make public arguements like this, you REALLY need to do just a bit of actual research, I think……
I thought the Bible supported evolution.
After all the world was created within a week, which the scripture doesn’t specify how long a universal day was, Adam was created from the dirt of the Earth, and Eve was created from his ribs.
If that doesn’t scream evolution exists, I don’t know what else does.
Mind you, I am Godless. I just like finding passages and studying religions to support my stance. It’s only fair to use their own texts against them.
Reminds me of a good joke, though, although females tend to roll their eyes when they hear it…..After God had created the world and all its creatures, including Adam, Adam got to looking around and noticed that all the other critters had mates(and seemed to really enjoy them) except him. He got rather flustered by this, and felt somewhat slighted by God. So the next time God came around to Eden for a chat and a visit, Adam asked him point blank, “God, why have you made female companions for every creature except me?” God was obviously kind of taken aback by this, and He hemmed-and-hawed around a bit before saying, “Oh, I don’t know about that Adam, it is very complicated and costly–it would likely cost you an arm and a leg!” God hoped this would put Adam off, but after ruminating on this a bit, Adam replied, “Well, uh, what could I get for a rib?”
But by then, God had figured out the flaws in his “first model”, and made the needed improvements with the next….
Wasn’t it the next model that got them kicked out of Eden, though?
