Ok…I sound crazy, but a couple of days ago, I saw what appeared to be like a large black cat playing with a house cat (the house cat was being attacked as it was making horrible noises). I initially thought it was a black lab although I never heard any dog noises and I definitely heard the cat attack which was what made me look and watch. I continued to think it was a black lab until I saw it get up and walk away. During the “attack” it didn’t act like a dog…it actually sat on the house cat for a minute or so. But when it was done, it got up and it walked like a cat! My son saw it as well, but he is only 9 and he doesn’t know what to think. We live in Minnesota about two blocks from the LeSueur River. Cougars have been sighted in Mankato along the Minnesota River about ten miles from here. Thoughts??
How big was the cat?
I would guess that the larger animal was about 60 pounds (the size of a full grown black lab). The house cat appeared average size, much smaller than the black animal.
