Ripening rapsberries

This wild raspberries are ripening before our very eyes:

They are usually ripe by the first week in July, but this year, they might be a bit ahead of schedule.

We have a very mild and wet spring and a relatively mild winter.

Yeah our strawberries finished early and are blooming again, while our blueberries, and red and black raspberries are really booming. It looks like the various wild brambles are starting to produce as well.

I am so jealous! I live in AZ and the closest I get to any berry is the plastic boxes at the super market, unless I visit California.

  Yeah but oranges grow in backyards there, so it’s not such a big loss.
  
  I was in Phoenix one Thanksgiving and we ate oranges from the one of the trees on the hotel grounds.

We don’t have too many raspberries here. Got more than enough blackberries though. Those are everywhere.

Our berry crops here in Eastern Kentucky have been enormous this year too. My blueberry bushes are so loaded down with fruit that the branches are bent. We have bumper crops of red raspberries & wild raspberries, and the blackberries are coming ripe too. The only small fruit that hasn’t done well here was our Concord grapes. A late freeze seems to have pretty much wiped them out. The wild grapes have heavy fruit, though. Everything seems to be ripening ahead of the usual time; we had blueberries beginning to ripen before Memorial Day, and they usually don’t start to ripen until at least the end of June.
