If you should get nostalgic there are still plenty of them in the woods around here.
My guess is the wood has grown around that old ‘banger’ since it arrived at the scene of the accident; not exactly biodegradable, so what, they just leave them to decorate the woods until they rot? Anyone checked the trunk (boot) for bodies?
Initially, they tend to be used for spare parts, but eventually, yes thats exactly what they do. There are also places where people have dumped their old whiteware (fridges, stoves, etc.) One such was a particularly productive fishing hole in Baltimore Co., MD. Though it was very productive, I disliked going there–it was not exactly conducive to the back-to-nature experience I look for when fishing or hiking.
