   Why don’t they have mouse flavored treats for cats? Its not like cats hunt down their own beef, or catch their own salmon. And pork? Cats can’t bring down pigs. And your don’t want cats to learn to eat chickens.

     Probably because no one wants to farm them and owners would think its gross. Rats or other rodents would have more meat on them at least,and cats do kill rats. Perhaps although not technically a rodent,rabbit treats/food? Once in awhile a extra talented hunter of a cat will kill and eat them.
     Cats seem to prefer fish,chicken and pork over food like beef and lamb.

     When I let my cats outside more often,most where lousy hunters anyways. Killing nothing or much less then one of my dogs and the blog owners dog. No matter what their fed.

   We had a cat so bad at hunting, she couldn’t even kill a dead bird. Finding a dead sparrow, she would bat at it timidly with her paws, not biting it, or even playing hard. But she was well fed. I guess most cats could do better.

   Dogs love duck. My JRT’s turn their noses up at beef but will go for lamb, chicken and best of all duck. Luckily its also unsaturated fat in duck. I also like duck. Im not sure if retrieverman’s ducks would be safe with us around.

   I wonder if swan tastes anything like duck; just curious because some recent east european immigrants into Britain had to be discouraged from pursuing their imported practice of catching mute swans then barbecuing and eating them on river bank – much to the horror of native people taking a weekend stroll along the Thames towpath. In any case many of these swans do technically belong to Queen Elizabeth!

     Swans and geese, from what I’ve read, don’t taste very good.
