Yes, it’s been spotted. It was mistaken for a black dog.
It’s one of this year’s fawns. If I can get a photo of it, it will be posted!
Apparently, we have a melanistic white-tailed deer around here

Do they have a harder time at surviving? (Any more so than any normally colored deer, that is).
