The Humane Society does operate shelters, but the ones I know of are kill shelters. Hmmm…what happens when the lawyer cells become overcrowded??? Shakespeare would be proud.
Your local ‘Humane Society’ is a totally separate entity than the HSUS. Though the fact most people confuse the two is something that makes HSUS a good chunk of their donation money.
