Another one of their stances that cracks me up to no end, is how they rant about how cruel the Iditarod is (SOMETIMES A DOG DIES IN IT OMG). And then they go back to their shelter’s walk in meat-locker and dump a few more hundred pets that they’ve killed in their ‘shelter’.
The amount of cognitive dissonance PETA members have is staggering.
There was some fool TV reporter who called it the “I Kill a Dog” race.
I think there have been only a handful fatalities on the whole run. Plus, the dogs are bred for it. They live for it.
A racing sled dog is a remarkable animal. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find an animal of any species with the endurance and speed of these sorts of dogs.
