Look at what turned up in the pasture!
The horses have been gone all winter, and when they returned this week, the black mare had a foal to her side. He was born about a month ago.
These are all Tennessee walking horses. The sorrel and white gelding is the little one’s big brother.
I want to live where you live! They’re gorgeous. Is that Miley running in the background?
Yes, it is, and the horses like Miley.
They hate all other dogs, though.
heh. baby knows one thing: stay close to mom. Big brother knows one thing: stay away from baby or mom will kick your ass.
LOL.
And she does nip him in another video, which I will post shortly.
He eventually decided it was more fun to play with the dog and leave his little brother alone.
That black mare and I get along very well. She will even let the dog get near him.
But that gelding– no way!
Stallions kill foals that aren’t their own, so maybe this is why she is so protective of him.
I know next to nothing about horse language and even I could read the message from mom.
I’ve been around them enough that I can read them pretty well.
They do have facial expressions, but you have to get used to them.
