Where I went to undergrad is not very far from Helvetia.
Helvetia is the Roman name for Switzerland, named for the Helvetii, a Celtic tribe that lived in what is now the Central Plateau.
West Virginia has several German and German-Swiss settlement. Helvetia is probably the most famous of them. There is also St. Clara in Doddridge County, which has both a Lutheran and Catholic Church. (Doddridge County is the only county in West Virginia where Irish are the largest ethnic group.)
