   Are you sure that’s really a suliki lurcher border collie cross- or did someone just guess.

     It really is. This is not an uncommon lurcher recipe in the UK.

   Its such a beautiful dog, i would love to have one for agility I bet they are fast and smart and beautiful to watch. I would have to go to the UK to get one though, not many salukis in New Zealand.

   Hi I have recently got a dog from a rescue centre in the UK which looks almost identical to the dog in this picture. I was looking to see what other saluki/border collies looked like on Google. I was amazed by the likeness as there seems to be quite a variety in the way the mix looks. Do you know the source of the photo?

     Bpth salukis and border collies vary in appearance. Both are landrace dogs.

     I cannot remember the source of the photo, but I believe the dog had been intentionally bred as a lurcher.

   OMG, this dog is the exact copy of my beloved Benson who was sadly PTS 2 days ago aged 14. If I could find one of these dogs, I would definately get another one as he was the best dog I could ever wish for…….

   I have recently adopted a 1 year old male and 4 month old female border collie cross which look very similar to this dog other than the ears! The ears are pricked right up like a bat! Our 1 year old how ever is constantly constipated he crys when he is doing his business and it comes out solid as a brick. I don’t know if it is to do with his diet does anyone habe any tips on how to feed these types of breed? I’m feeding them one small cup of dry Dr goodmans biscuit and a quarter of a webbox Chubb roll between them each meal.

     I don’t think they have any special requirements. Dogs are all one species.

   Zoe, Ask your vet to check that there’s no mechanical reason for pain on doing his business, and also try a wetter food such as dog-use tripe, or boiled wholemeal rice and chicken, also try feeding more than you normally do, via offering twice a day feeds. Also feed after exercise. rather than before.
