Kill da wabbit!

Miley killed this small rabbit this evening. It was about half grown.

She coursed it just like a greyhound!

   Todos los perros del mundo sienten aversión por los roedores,(¿enemigos?)(en especial ratas y ratones) y las piezas (animales cazados) de pelo se llevan tras de sí a todos los perros,(¿alimento?) si el perro reconoce su superioridad técnica, no dejará de hacerlo, pero si el roedor fuese una liebre del desierto el perro abandonaría la idea después de algún que otro fracaso.
   Muchas veces aflora el ancestro “Canis lupus”, otra cosa sería el nivel de adiestramiento de cada perro.

   I don’t know much about retrievers. What would you expect her to do?

     Track it to its hiding place and stalk it. That’s normally what they do. I had a retriever with very strong retrieving motor patterns that learned how to outsmart rabbits from a Norwegian elkhound.

   No obstante:
   ¿Un perro de presa, distingue a un toro bravo de un canguro?
   ¿Por qué hay perros que atacan o muerden las ruedas de un automóvil cuando está en marcha?
