And it wouldn’t pass any kind of animal cruelty standards for “animal actors.”
I’ve seen most of these Frank Buck films. They were once on AMC or TMC one day in the summer several years ago.
Don’t watch the orangutan footage if you find it. It will make you very upset that anyone could treat an orangutan in that manner.
Yeah, in several scenes, the tiger is backing up into what is obviously a vine/brush camaflouged fence! Marty Stouffer hid his fences MUCH better! The tiger DOES look like a recently captured, formerly wild tiger–at least it doesn’t have the fatty “dewlap” swinging from its belly like most captive bred and zoo tigrs. There is a “Wild Kingdom” episode where Marlin and crew “capture” in a net trap what is obviously a very fat captive tiger–but at least their show ended with the statement, “all scenes, whether actual or created depict authenticated facts”!

Contrived or not that was an intense video. Not sure what I think about it to be honest!
I could not find a Frank Buck orangutan video, just what does he do to the poor ape?
He stuck his hand the cage and it nearly jerked his arm off, so they hit it with a crowbar to get it to let go.
