Reminds me of Hoover over at the New England Aquarium in Boston. When I lived there and friends and family visited, one of my favorite places to take them was the Aquarium. Out front there was a large area of water where they would let the seals in from the harbor. Hoover actually talked. It made everyone I took there laugh to hear him. He loved people and his voice sounded deep and guttural. He had been found by a couple in Maine who raised him until they could no longer keep him so they brought him to the Aquarium. He seemed very happy there mingling with the people.

I had to click “source” to see it. Big eyed pup? Source of mermaid legends? Do they make good pets for a beach house / yacht or is it like ‘pet’ chimps who grow up to rip off faces, bite off fingers, and unman human males, anyone heard anything about grown pet seals?

I was reading this morning about how bad the quality of the ocean water is becoming. Maybe this seal was escaping?
