   I’ve read McConnel’s books, I’ve read Cesar Milan’s books. As the monks of new skete say: heed every trainers concepts and take from it for your own.

   Now as for this slamming of somebodies concepts in this video, its very weak. First of because they are unwilling to just come out and say who they are talking about. Second because they admit to not really having looked at properly what Milan’s saying.
   “I think this is what he means”. “I suppose so”. Please. I have never ever read or heard Cesar say anything about sitting on the sofa.

   And worse, they fail to acknowledge what it is about Cesar’s “way” that works: he trains people.

     Patricia McConnell works with aggressive dogs too.

     Patricia McConnell has a PhD in Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist.

     She also .teaches. at a University.

       Where did I say McConnell phD didnt do any of those things?
       Sorry but being a PhD really doesnt mean all that much. Now, I happen to know a bit more about McConnel’s background and that is what I respect. Not some paper. Too many people with phd’s in this world that can only make things work in the books.

       One thing McConnell does to people is come across as arrogant and demeaning. Not that this is her intent but this might be because of her high level in diction.. Just the way she goes about things doesn’t communicate her message to everybody. Her book is certainly not the book I would recommend to the average dog owner. Cesar is definantly more accessible.
       Although my personal favorite happens to be Michel Hasbrouk.

       And to reiterate my first point, its fine to discuss and be critical of another trainers technique, the way they go about it in this video is pretty “mean” and not very dignified and ill-informed.

       I for one am critical of Cesar Milan for his support for HSUS, and that awfull factory processed dog food he promotes. Raw Meaty Bones please.
