i loved watching this experiment, seeing the cocks perform for the fembot – it was fascinating stuff, but there was a heart-stopping moment when the fembot fell off the tracks in the midst of the display grounds, midway thru the AM performances.
luckily, nothing untoward happened, the birds were not spooked, and the researcher retrieved her fallen impersonator with no damage after the cock-birds dispersed to feed.
that was an entirely un-planned experiment, LOL, within the larger meticulously planned one!
