I took these photos of Miley the golden retriever in the recent snowfall in near my family’s property in Calhoun County, West Virginia.
Yes, she’s light colored, but she’s very fast and clever. She’s only 11 months old, so she still has a lot of maturing to do. Her retrieving instinct is slowly but surely being refined. She’s very much a pet, though.
Here she is in the pasture. The horses have been taken out for the winter, so now she has some open acreage in which to run.
