the problem with them robo-dogs [alleged to be those filmed in the segments shown] is that so far, they can only run on flat or near-flat ground,
while REAL dogs can hurtle along over rock, scree, grass, dirt, sand, snow, thru brambles n brush, across creeks, and so on;
until they get robo-dogs who don’t fall over helpless downhill while negotiating across a slope, they are impractical, and we will have to continue to rely on the living, breathing versions.
i also think robo-dogs need to be available in a broader range of sizes: 9-WO is silly, and even 4-MO is IMO too small.
there is no way these robo-dogs could convincingly work cattle, or other more-intransigent, less-compliant livestock than sheep.
