I love this dog:
The chicken was on the owner’s property. TS, Mr. Chicken.
Look how proud he is with that bird in his mouth!

That dog is very proud of itself. Look at his tail go.
Well, that is one way to identify a LUA Dalmation.
This is what happens when you tinker with an ancient Adriatic breed by adding even a drop of bird dog (pointer) blood. You end up with an animal that might be of use for something beyond wearing dots.
That’s a great yard and kennel, btw. I’m jealous!
I always like partially-wild gardens and yards to artificially groomed ones.
I love this Dalmatian. If I had known one like him, I think I would have had a different view of the breed.
Cinder was that kind of dog.
We had a bull terrier bitch try to bring a humongous rabbit into the house. She was very proud of it.
Well, Retrieverman, we may cure you yet of your Dalmation prejudice! Of course there are LOTS of great Dalmations out there–most are just WASTED in peoples’ possession that have no clue how to deal with such active dogs–don’t blame the dogs–blame their dumb, overly civilized couch potato owners! The Dalmation responsible for raising me made Old Yeller and Lassie both look like useless imbeciles!….Some old-time poachers actually purposefully trained dogs to snatch and retrieve chickens–a lot easier and more productive often, than poaching pheasants and the like! I had a Golden Retriever X Sheltie cross when I was a teenager, that I taught to catch my chickens and hold them(which she did with her forepaws) so I could inspect or otherwise get my hands on them. Though a bit rough on them till she got the hang of it, she eventually became EXPERT at the activity, able to pin the wildest game chickens! Problem was, she assumed all the chickens of the world belonged to ME, and so pinned any chicken she came across–we had some close calls with local farmers! She would hold them down unharmed until I took the bird from her, then hurriedley pin another–totally ignoring the one I had taken from her–even if I let it go immediately! A really handy skill for a chicken raiser, this was…….What the heck is that other dog in the kennel in this video? It looks almost like a fox!
