No one got the correct answer to my “Identify the species” query.
I did say it was a puppy.
But it’s not a domestic dog puppy.
It’s a maned wolf pup.
It will grow up to look like this (minus the pigeon in its mouth):
Maned wolves are not true wolves, but instead, they are part of the wonderfully unique group of canids native to South America. It is the closest relative of the extinct Falkland Islands wolf or warrah.
