I first thought a flatxcurly but if purebred I would opt for flat coat.

Flat-Coated Retriever! I did a whole post about them a little while ago (http://community.instyledog.com/?p=14) and learned a lot. Mostly I learned that the “Black Golden Retriever Mix” I grew up with probably wasn’t :P

Well, definitely NOT a flatcoat. Head totally wrong.

But she could be a black golden.
