I just noticed that this sort of bulldog tends to possess really screwy loins. The loins actually point up toward the hips, which is so disgustingly freaky.
At a distance the dogs appear short-coupled, but when you really look at the muscles, the loins are pretty long. They just reach for the sky!

Because the ribcage is set so low between the upper forelimb assemblies, the loin (lumbar region) must slant upward to the pelvis on top of the rather straight hind limbs. Selecting for heavy fore parts and relatively lighter rear parts exacerbates the situation. .
These people do not understand normal canine structure nor the (horrifying) extent to which they have forced deviation from basic soundness, unfortunately. They call it “typiness”, but it is really deviation from type.
I wonder if they would think a human with the same deformities was beautiful.
