She left us yesterday

June 16, 2017 by SWestfall3

The aligning of the Cosmos with two entities of golden retrievers and hemangiosarcoma is one the crueler aspects of existence. She died at home yesterday–on her own terms.

That’s all I can write right now. I’m just letting you know. I know that if you’ve been reading this blog since the beginning, she was a major feature here, and I know that she will be missed.

I certainly am. It’s very raw right now.

God that sucks. Mine just got diagnosed with the same thing and my heart’s broken. She’s still with us but no idea for how long.

I’m so sorry, it will make no difference to know there will be others but there will be and gradually you will be able to smile at sudden reminders and memories.

She’s part of everything now, and will always be part of YOU.

My friend’s 6-year-old golden died of hemangiosarcoma just a few months ago. I’m so sad for you. :(

Hemagio and goldens do seem to align more often then they should. Miley was one of the original reasons I started to follow you. I certainly know and understand your love of her. God Speed Miley.

Belated heartfelt condolences from me. I had read the news, but too saddened to even write back then.

My K2 was going through a surgery after a hit and run and we thought at one stage that we had lost him. We were stressed out and in tears all the time. It was during those days that I read your blog. I felt as if I am going to choke to death. Indeed, it was a strange week as just a day before, a golden girl of my office colleague also collapsed during routine play in a Toronto’s park and died on spot.

RIP, Miley! RIP in the heavenly sniffing grounds forever!
