I’ve honestly wondered if anyone has ever used a Malinois as a hunting dog, or even within some cross used for hunting (although I do believe someone was creating Greyhound/Malinois lurcher types a year or two ago, I haven’t thought to look up if they produced anything out of it). Definitely have the drive, although drive to bite a man in a suit doesn’t automatically lead to a good hunting dog. We’ll have to see what he does.
I think Malinois’ prey drive can be put to a good hunting use. I appreciate the guy’s rationale. It is definitely not an emotional decision.
The Malinois needs a job, as it is a working dog. Seems like that would be perfect.
