Actually this bill was proposed in the state legislature this year, further adding to our infamous reputation. I agree with the principles behind the law, but it’s a stupid law.
And here’s another stupid bill. Principles might be good again, but the means are unconstitutional and probably so costly that the bill becomes stupid. West Virginia does have a terrible drug problem.
But it’s not just people on welfare who are doing drugs.
BTW, they do call it “West By God” because everyone thinks you’re talking about the western part of Virginia, which it was until 1863.
