Some fawns don’t know they are supposed to run, and this is the time of year when their mothers stop watching them closely. And they often get into big trouble.
It’s not often that a fawn approaches you with curiosity.
“Oh crap! Not such a good idea after all!”
Oh, so that’s why they’re off alone now. I saw two the other day, and one walked towards me a little bit before stopping. I was wondering why two fawns were left unsupervised, since I’ve always thought the mothers were watching them throughout the season. Now I know :)
