I can see why. I grew up with GSD’s, the old type. Anna, a longhair, who wanted to kill anything including our horses. Anna was exiled from her obedience class and she continued to throw herself against the car glass while driving by most things with 4 legs.
Anka is beautiful and that deep stretch while running is stunning.
At that time, the breed was very popular as a pet in the US, and West Germans were sending their culls over here for the pet market. So there were lots of bad ones around.
We loved Anna. She was just peculiar.
Anka is lovely.
I’ve finally – FINALLY – gotten Heidi down to a reasonable weight again. Gee, I wish I had been able to get her before they spayed her! With Heidi, I had no choice; but I’ll never spay a young dog again.
