This was my first golden retriever.
If her name lacks creativity or originality, just keep in mind that she was a very intelligent dog.
Her memory is behind most of what I think of when I write about golden retrievers. The photo resolution is terrible because this is a photo of a photograph that was originally developed from film. The original was taken some time in the late 90’s, when she would have been five or six years old. She was just starting to get white around the muzzle. She was just a hair darker in color than that photo suggests.
I’m not fooling anyone. She’d never win a prize at a dog show.
She’s doing a down for the chance to go fetch something. That’s what she lived for. She was an obsessive, slightly neurotic retrieving fool.
Her coat was entirely flat and straight, and she had more of the flat-coat features than those of a golden.
If my views on goldens are distorted, they are largely distorted as a result of my experiences with this very intelligent dog.

Cinnamon is a fool for a pool of water and appears to be fairly straight-haired and is getting darker. I love my red-haired baby girl.
Looks like a Golden.
