Did they ever say what it was the eagle was trying to pick up? As heavy as it seems to have been it was probably a mammal like a muskrat, beaver, or such.
They said it was a nutria, which is a PIA in Lousiana.
It was really enjoyable to listen to the comments the viewers made. They really enjoyed seeing such interesting behaviour, thanks for sharing
