The sad thing is that he is so damn ignorant of the common American experience. He keeps issuing these non sequiturs that illustrate just how out of touch he is.

He needs to be hungry–I mean really hungry–for a week or two. He needs to serve a military tour in a 2nd or 3rd-world country (or even better, combat.) He needs to have to make budgetary decisions that force him to choose among food, housing, fuel or medication. In short, he needs to walk in everyman’s shoes.

But then again, the same could be said for most of our ‘leaders’.
